Paul, an aspiring actor and soap opera superfan, moves in with his best friend Stephanie, determined to break into the entertainment industry and become a soap opera star! Along the way, he navigates awkward auditions, tense rivalries, and complicated romantic entanglements. In Season 2, Paul is offered a life-changing opportunity to audition for a Guiding Light reboot, but personal drama and his strained relationship with his mother, Mo, threaten his success. Season 3 takes a darker turn after Paul wakes up with amnesia, struggling to piece his life together and falling in love again, only to face betrayal, unsettling revelations, and a battle with his own sanity.
